A PUB in Gloucester has been completely transformed.
England's Glory has been renovated, with new lighting, décor and signage on the outside as well as new furniture, decoration, bar, toilets, function room and revamped skittles alley on the inside.
The pub - which is located on London Road - features large screen TVs throughout, pool table, darts board area and open fire.
It also has outdoor seating in a courtyard and garden areas. The bar now offers four real ales and six draught local ciders.
The pub was taken over by Cat Daniels and Bob Bell in November 2022 and is owned by Red Oak Taverns, who carried out the refurbishment.
Cat said: “The new look is wonderful. The pub has a new chapter ahead of it and we are so excited to be welcoming back customers old and new.
“Red Oak has really pulled out all the stops with this investment to create a proper local pub for the community."
Bob said: “We want to ensure there’s plenty of activities and events at the pub.
“Alongside the food we will be opening the outside bar for the garden and courtyard and have our first wedding at the pub this month”.
Business development manager for Red Oak Taverns, Jo Skuse said:“This is the third pub investment we’ve completed in Gloucester and it’s a fantastic transformation.
“The whole place looks fresh, whilst retaining a historic nod to the area and its name England’s Glory after the famous matches that were manufactured here.
“We know now that this pub has something for everyone and will serve the local community for a long time into the future”.
Red Oak has recently invested in The Linden Tree and The Tall Ships.
Cat and Bob will be launching a traditional pub food menu in June and are holding music nights every Saturday. There is a quiz, twice weekly and regular bingo nights. Seven skittles teams play from the pub alongside darts and pool teams.
