MORE details have been revealed about the opening of a new coffee shop in Yate.
Coffee#1 has applied to South Gloucestershire Council for permission to install a new shop front in the former premises of M&Co in Yate Shopping Centre.
It has now been revealed that it will open in August this year.
Manager of Yate Shopping Centre, Andrew Lowrey, said: "We welcome the arrival of Coffee#1 which will open its doors during August.
“The Centre plays an important role as the hub of the town which in addition to being the main shopping centre is also the social focus for many people.
“Coffee #1, which is currently undergoing fit-out, will offer another attractive venue for visitors to the town centre."
The proposed new shop is expected to create 10 new jobs, with four full-time and six part-time employees.
Coffee#1 is a coffee shop chain that was founded in Cardiff 22 years ago and has around 110 stores across the UK including in Thornbury and Bristol.
The floor plan also shows at least 26 tables with a fireplace, a bookshelf, benches and a separate outside seating area.
The shop is proposed to be open Monday through Saturday from 7am to 7pm, and Sundays from 9am to 6pm.
Proposals also include adding a grab-and-go fridge, an online order pickup location, and a barista workspace.
In addition, a staff room with a kitchen and office as well as unisex and disabled toilets and would be added.
