PUPILS in Yate have been hard at work making pictures of their dream home.
Housing developer Bellway asked children at St Mary's Primary to create artworks of their ideal homes.
The year five students' drawings, which feature everything from swimming pools to colourful slides, are now on display at Ladden Garden Village's sales office.
Three winners of the competition - Harrison, Olivia and Cassie – were also presented with book vouchers of £30, £20 and £10.
Headteacher Bethan Scriven said: “It was a wonderful sunny day when we visited Ladden Garden Village and the children really enjoyed seeing their designs again.
“We’re grateful to Bellway for organising this colouring competition.
“The children really enjoyed creating their dream houses and seeing their designs displayed at a local housing development where Bellway are building new homes in the area.”
Year five teacher Annie Evans said: “This was a wonderful opportunity for the children to use their imaginations in a completely different way.
"We’re proud of all of their creative designs and process that went into producing them.”
Rachel Way, sales manager for Bellway South West, said: “Thank you to Harrison, Olivia, Cassie and all the Year 5 pupils who put in so much effort to create pictures of their dream houses.
“It’s been lovely to see these creations laid out in a collage on a display board at the development.
“We look forward to continuing our relationship with St Mary’s CE Primary School and supporting the community in Yate as we continue to build new homes in the town.”
Bellway is building 247 new homes at Ladden Garden Village, including 86 affordable homes.
