A PET shop and veterinary practice near Yate has recently been transformed following an extensive refurbishment.
Pets at Home in Emersons Green Retail Park now has an additional theatre room, new equipment, and two additional consultation rooms after an extension.
More room has been made available for surgery preparation, as well as more kennel space and a dedicated cat waiting area with specially designed cat box shelves built into the seats.
Additionally, three new jobs have been created as a result of the extension.
The centre's goal is to be a one-stop shop for all pet care needs, including nutritional advice, grooming, veterinary care, and rehoming.
The site marked the revamp with a celebratory launch event held on Friday, July 7 for customers and their pets.
Scott Brewer, store manager at Pets at Home Emersons Green, said: “We’re thrilled to be one of the first Pets at Home stores in the UK to receive the new branding.
“We can’t wait to welcome customers and their pets from the local community into our new pet care centre.”
Dr Carla Puime Costoya, practice owner and veterinary surgeon at Vets for Pets Emersons Green, said: “The whole team is really excited about the extension, and we’re thrilled to welcome our customers and their pets into practice.
“With more space, we are able to offer more appointments, more quickly, ensuring we can see people’s beloved pets as quickly as possible.”
Vets for Pets Emersons Green, which is also located in the pet care centre, is managed by a 28-person team of veterinarians, veterinary nurses, and client care advisers.
They offer a wide range of veterinary healthcare services including orthopaedics, keyhole surgery, ultrasound, and laser therapy.
Under the same roof, customers can access Pets at Home’s own grooming salon called Pets Grooming, from full grooms, spa treatments to nail clipping.
The centre is home to specialist pet care advisors who are on hand to support pet owners with free advice.
Pets at Home owns around 450 stores, 350 grooming salons, and nearly 500 veterinary surgeries and practises across the UK.
