Staff and pupils at Brimsham Green School have been celebrating their GCSE results.
School members say they are delighted to congratulate all of their Year 11 students on the grades they have received today,
Kim Garland, Headteacher, said: “All students have needed to show resilience in the face of the pandemic, whether this was due to disruption to schooling in Years 8 and 9, or whether they were unable to attend for periods of time because they were unwell themselves, they have not let this define their achievements.
"Returning to school for their GCSE studies, post pandemic, has been emotionally hard for some, but they have immersed themselves in our rich curriculum and have conquered their anxiety; this mix of aspiration and grit will stand them in such good stead for their future adult lives.
"I admire this in our students.
"They are talented young people, and we could not be prouder of them as they progress onto their A Level studies at Cotswold Edge, and other vocational college qualifications and apprenticeships.”
Jack Clark, Jessica Cosgree, Evie Dyer, Theo Roberts, Ted Peeling Smith, Harry Norris, Libby Roebuck, Harrison Smith, and Freya Winter, all secured 7 or more qualifications at Grade 7 and above.
Niamh Meredith-Clarke and Anna White have 14 Grade 8s and 9s between them!
The head said:" In addition, I would like to acknowledge the achievements of those students who have achieved well, despite considerable personal adversity.
"Huge congratulations to Jack C, Luke H, Katie K, Jack N and Ruslan P to now be able to progress onto Level 2 and 3 courses is a considerable achievement, and we want these students to know just how proud we are of them.
"Students have been determined to prove themselves in this examination series, and we want to recognise those students who have exceeded their targets by at least two grades overall.
"We hope that Harry Allen, Duncan Ferguson, Lucy Hurford, Marley McCalla, and Wiktoria Sorotowicz enjoy celebrating their success."
Students receiving their GCSE results today are enrolling at Cotswold Edge for September 2023.
