IT was a wonderful day at the 137th Hawkesbury Show.
Sally Bleaken said: "The day was very well attended with large crowds gathering on the Plain for the presentations to our Carnival King, Will Pederick & attendants, Isla Rowlands & Charlie Hurst by our VIP; Hawkesbury resident, Audrey Cole, invited in recognition of the tremendous support she has given to the event over the past 50yrs.
"We enjoyed excellent number of carnival entries including 4 floats and a marquee bursting with exhibits. The Showground entertainment was well received, and the weather was kind! The infamous, 'And a Marrow' after Show auction, conducted by auctioneer extraordinaire Mr Nick Cragg, raised a record sum of £1116; we even had a member of the bar team sporting a custom made 'And a Marrow' jacket courtesy of Harriet Edwards of Custom Denim Jackets @personaliseddenimjackets.
"The merriment & dancing continued well into the evening in the very busy beer tent with excellent entertainment provided by Paul Clarky Clark - . https://www.facebook.com/PaulClarkyClarktunes4oneandAll/
"We are already looking forward to the 138th Hawkesbury Show on August 31st 2024!"
