A CAM family business has made the shortlist in a competition that showcases the very best of the wedding industry.
Bar hire company The Bar Bros has been shortlisted for providing the best mobile bar services in the South West as part of The Wedding Industry Awards 2024.
The ceremony, which is due to be held on November 20 near Weston-super-Mare, celebrates and recognises those who make the big day possible.
Parents-of-two John and Rebecca, who live in Cam, run the business, which serves creative and unique drinks from smoking cocktails and bubble-topped margaritas.
The Bar Bros was founded in 2018 after teaming up with The Country Marquee Company, in Charfield.
Rebecca previously studied business at undergraduate level in Cheltenham and masters level in Swansea.
The team - which now employs around 20 members of staff - even launched its own small batch craft gin last year.
Speaking after their nomination, Rebecca said: “It really is an honour. We work really hard to stay ahead of trends and for each client to get the best service we can offer.
“We’re mostly known for our cocktail focus but our pints are good too. We are a family run business, running our business with two children aged three and four.
“It can be tough but we support each other in any way we can and our system works!
“We have to give full credit to the incredible team we have.
“Each and every one of them are incredible and work so hard to deliver our vision.
“They’re amazing and we’re so proud of them and honoured to be leading them. Getting through to the TWIA regional finals is such an accolade in itself.
“Their judging process is tough and it’s client-led; so we can only be voted for by our clients from October 22 to October 23.
“If we were to win the regional award for best mobile bar services in the South West, that would be incredible!
“We’re crossing our fingers and hope that our hard work and ethos pay off. If we were to win the regional finals, we’d go through to the nationals!
“It would be a dream to win the regional awards, not to mention be in the running for the national award!”
