TWO sisters have been warned they could be jailed for their part in a nightclub scuffle which left another girl injured.
Charlotte Warrington, 21, of Rosebery Mount, Dursley, and Shereene Warrington, 26, of Frederick Thomas Road, Dursley, both admitted disorderly conduct on December 30 last year.
They had both been due to stand trial at Gloucester Crown Court last week on a charge of assaulting a woman, causing her actual bodily harm.
But after negotiations between prosecution and defence barristers a new charge of affray was added to the indictment.
The pair then pleaded not guilty to affray but guilty to a Section 4 public order offence - which was accepted by prosecutor Kirsty Real.
She told the court: "This incident was in a nightclub where a scuffle developed. They have entered their pleas to acknowledge their participation in that and the injuries caused to the victim."
Judge Martin Picton said he would want pre-sentence reports on the sisters before proceeding to sentence them.
"This was a nasty incident," he said. "They have both got previous convictions."
He adjourned the case for three weeks and bailed the sisters, adding: "The fact I am ordering reports does not guarantee a non-custodial sentence. This was a serious matter and all sentence options will be considered."
