A NEW youth football club has launched in Slimbridge with players celebrating an early success.
Three teams have been formed as part of the Slimbridge Cygnets YFC including a minis division as well as an under 8s team and a under 10s team.
The under 10s squad even won their second ever game as a team last Saturday (October 28).
Organisers say they hope to add more teams in the future and encourage local businesses to support the club.
Ben Smith chairman from Slimbridge Cygnets YFC said: “We have started up a brand new local youth football club.
“In only four weeks we have managed to get together 27 members for our mini cygnets aged between four and six years-old.
“We also have an under 8s team and a under 10s team.
“Not bad in only four weeks.”
