A JAM-packed festive event is taking place in Berkeley next week. 

Christmas at Berkeley is returning for its second year with a light-switch on, carol singing, festive donkeys and a lantern parade on Friday, December 1. 
 
Father Christmas will be handing out presents and there will be live performances from children's entertainers Chris P Tee and Cheeky Chops. 
 
All shops and cafes in the town will also be open and there will also be more than 30 craft stalls.
 
The event will take place from 5pm until 8.30pm. 
 
Money is being raised for four local charities including SARA, Berkeley Community  Swimming Pool, Edward Jenner Museum and Berkeley Library.
 
As part of the event, wedding shop Veils of Berkeley is running a competition for a lucky customer to win a dream wedding dress from Sincerity by Justin Alexander.
 
To enter tickets are £10 per entry with all proceeds going to the four charities. 
 
Other prizes include a £500 voucher off a White Rose dress, £100 off a mother of the bride outfit, a free veil to the value of £100 and a wedding dress clean valued at £100.
