DOZENS of people gathered to see Cam's Christmas lights turned on, officially marking the start of the festive season.
The event - which took place on Saturday, November 25 - included a giant snow globe, pony rides and a tractor display.
A fun-fair was also set up in the car park at Noel Lee Way and Father Christmas was in his magical grotto in Cam Parish Council.

The lights were switched on by Cllr Jon Fulcher, the chair of Cam Parish Council. He said the event had been enjoyed by all generations.
He added: “Cam Parish Council is grateful that the event was so well appreciated by all who came and hopefully it is an annual event that really kicks off the festive season.
“On behalf of the office staff, parish councillors, local businesses that were so generous and volunteers who contributed to making the occasion a safe and enjoyable one, we wish the people of Cam and surrounding areas a very happy Christmas."
The lights will sparkle in the trees around the car park in Noel Lee Way and along the High Street throughout the festive season.
Cllr Jerry Fowler (Cam West) is a new councillor at the parish council and was part of the working party who planned the community event.
He said: “When I was asked to be part of the organising team, I thought the amount of time and effort that was going into planning the light switch on was huge, especially given the size of Cam.
“But the result on the day was nothing short of spectacular.
“I would encourage all parishioners, traders and community groups to get involved to ensure that next year is even bigger and better.”
