CROWDS recently flocked to Berkeley for a Christmas event officially marking the start of the festive season.
Christmas At Berkeley returned for its second year on Friday, December 1.
The evening started with a colourful lantern parade, which involved local primary school pupils who had made their own lanterns.
The march was led by an elf who took them from the town to Jenner Museum gardens where the lanterns were hung.
Meanwhile, the town was also filled with an array of stalls and Father Christmas was in his grotto at St Mary's Church.
There was also a visit from children's entertainer Chris P Tee plus some Christmas donkeys.
An organiser said: “We would like to thank everyone who came and supported us on a very cold evening.
“We raised a good amount of money for the four charities we were supporting including SARA - Severn Area Rescue Association, Berkeley Books Community Library, Edward Jenner Museum and Berkeley Educational Swimming Trust.”
