A MAN from Yate who assaulted a police officer has been sentenced.
Dale Edwards, aged 46, of Harescombe, Yate, admitted one count of assaulting an emergency worker in Bristol on July 29 last year.
The case was heard at Bristol Magistrates Court on Friday, February 9.
Edwards was ordered to pay £100 in compensation, a £114 surcharge plus £85 in costs - a total of £299.
He was also ordered to complete 80 hours of unpaid work within 12 months.
