AN UPDATE has been released following an emergency road closure in the area.
Frocester Hill has been closed while repair works by Gloucestershire County Council Highways take place following a landslide.
A spokesperson from GCC Highways previously issued a notice on social media on Tuesday stating the road would be closed for three weeks
A GCC spokesperson said: “Due to a small landslip at Frocester Hill, caused by the recent wet weather, the road needs to be closed for three days from Wednesday, February 28 to Friday, March 1 so that emergency repairs can be carried out.
“Given the nature of the work, a road closure is needed to ensure the safety of the workers and public and there is a fully signed diversion route.
“We apologise for any inconvenience during the closure.”
