A FAMOUS television personality is aiming to run a half-marathon next weekend in aid of a charity near Dursley.
Vicky Pattison - who came to fame starring in reality show Geordie Shore - is planning to run 13.1 miles in hopes of raising money for Cotswold Dogs and Cats Home.
The-36-year-old - who currently has 5.5M followers on Instagram - also previously won I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here back in 2015.
She recently visited the animal shelter - which is based in Cambridge - forming a special bond with one of the centre's residents Honey, a French Bulldog.
Vicky is due to take part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday, April 7 which takes runners through the heart of the capital, passing by iconic landmarks.
So far, Vicky has raised almost £400 for the CDCH and is planning to take part in the challenge with fiancé Ercan Ramadan.
It also comes as Vicky also recently took part in a four-day Arctic Circle adventure for Comic Relief and was joined by Laura Whitmore, Alex Scott, and Sara Davies.
Vicky, said: “I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise much-needed funds and awareness for the fantastic guys at The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home.
"I’m feeling a little bit nervous, but I will have my gorgeous Ercan by my side which I’m sure will help get me through – not to mention all of these gorgeous boys and girls that I’m helping raise money for."
Haley Medlock CDCH fundraising manager said: “We are incredibly grateful for Vicky and Ercan's dedication to our cause.
"Their involvement in the London Landmarks Half Marathon will undoubtedly make a significant difference in the lives of the animals we care for.
“Together, we can create a brighter future for them."
Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home works across the Gloucestershire area and supports more than 1,000 animals each year.
The team rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes vulnerable animals in need while also giving access to veterinary care.
