A SHOP in Westerleigh is celebrating 40 years in business.
Wot-Not is a store selling second hand goods and furniture.
The shop is based at unit 4 Jorrocks Estate Westerleigh.
It is owned by Rod Newman & Teresa Woods.
Teresa said: "We sell secondhand goods and furniture on behalf of other people. This year on the 21st April we will be celebrating our 40th year of trading.
"We sell a lot of everything!! The run up to Christmas usually sees increase in sales of dining tables and chairs.
"Spring hails the onset of increased pushbike sales and garden pots and tools.
"The most unusual thing we have had to sell is a large skull from bbc studio."
Has the business changed in recent years?
"The customer base has changed from people either loving to collect antique and vintage furniture or buying out of necessity due to limited budget nowadays recycling and reusing is a lifestyle choice, second hand furniture is considered the right thing to buy by many people in order that their effect on the planet is kept to a minimum.
"The future looks good for the business as many more people are buying second hand furniture and want to recycle their old furniture this will hopefully help to secure the business for future generations possibly the next 40years."
