A NEW dog show is due to take place in Thornbury next month.
Organisers say the event will include classes such as a puppy round, best rescue dog, musical round and a best dressed fancy dress competition.
The show - which is being organised by JIGSAW Thornbury - will take place at St Mary Centre on Saturday, May 4 between 11.20am and 4pm.
Tickets for all classes will be on sale for £2 each at JIGSAW from 10am on the day with all proceeds going to the charity.
Refreshments will be available from Hawkes House, who will be at the event selling dog ice cream, dog biscuits, coffee and cake.
An organiser said: “The inspiration for this event has come from JIGSAW Thornbury’s very own therapy dog, Albus.
“This much-loved dog attends many of the 17 services the charity offers, helping to keep people calm and feel more comfortable joining in with activities.
“Families without dogs are welcome to come and watch the show too!
“There will be a fundraising stall at the event and the JIGSAW team would love for you to come and say hello!
“This event is running alongside the Love Thornbury event happening on the high street from 10am until 5pm, where there will be lots more local fun to explore.”
JIGSAW works with children and young people aged 0-25 with additional needs or disabilities, and their families.
