FOR the first time in 83 years, Yate Heritage Centre and partners will come together to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.

The latest exhibition will focus on the attacks on the Parnall Aircraft site in Station Road - now the Whirlpool factory - which took place 83 years ago during the Second World War.

Alongside the new exhibition, visitors can head underground inside an original First Aid Post, for a tour featuring information about the life saving effort in the bunker, with original artefacts used at First Aid Posts during World War II.

Public tours are free of charge, bookable exclusively via Ticketsource.co.uk.
