A 38-year-old man recently appeared in court facing fraud and kidnap charges which allegedly took place in South Gloucestershire.
James Connors, was charged with two counts of fraud and one count of kidnap appearing at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 24.
Avon and Somerset Police say the alleged offences relate to an incident earlier this month where an elderly woman was driven to cash machines across South Gloucestershire.
It is alleged she was told to hand over a sum of money in order for work to her house to be completed during the incident on Wednesday, April 17.
According to the court register, the incident took place in Pucklechurch and £2,450 in cash was taken.
Connors, of Ripple Road, Barking, London, appeared at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 24.
He was remanded into custody until May 29, when he will appear at Bristol Crown Court.
