A POPULAR social media star recently visited the Thornbury area.
American personality Kalani Smith, known to his followers as Kalani Ghost Hunter, recently visited a host of businesses in the town.
He visited Thornbury Museum, Hawkes House, The Swan, the Butchers Hook and Safari Rock Softplay.
Mr Smith became popular on TikTok after creating content by visiting places believed to be haunted.
Elsewhere, he also visited paranormal hotspot The Ancient Ram Inn - his video showcasing the 12th century Wotton pub now has almost 90k views.
He currently has 2.9 million followers on TikTok, 195k followers on Instagram and 159K followers on Facebook.
The internet sensation, who hails from Nashville, Tennessee, also posted a review of the Airbnb where he stayed at Newton Lodge Country House in Rockhampton.
“One of my favourite places we stayed in England, the Newton Lodge Country House,” he said in a Facebook post.
“This place had a sauna, pool, hot tub, and a tanning bed all on property!
“We will definitely be staying here again when we are back out that way!”

“During their visit, Kalani explored our local businesses, participated in an exciting ghost hunt, and enjoyed a luxurious stay at a Airbnb in Rockhampton.
“His enthusiasm for our community is palpable, and we eagerly anticipate welcoming him back later this year.
