TYTHERINGTON ROCKS continue to plan ahead for the start of the 2024/25 season.
The club has already lined up a number of pre-season friendly matches against English Bicknor, Shirehampton, Chepstow Town and old adversaries Thornbury Town.
Talking ahead of pre-season training which commences on Thursday, June 6 up at The Hardwicke Playing Field, Manager Steve Farr said: "The club are really excited about next season and we have planned well ahead to give ourselves a running start to the season."
The Rocks have also established a new reserves team who will play in the Hellenic League Division 2 West under the management of Liam Cook and Neil Bennett as well as a new U18 Youth Team managed by Peter Fuller who have entered the prestigious Western Counties Floodlight League.
Manager Farr added: "The club are building for the future and our goal is for all three teams to be intrinsically linked giving the younger players a clear path to quality and competitive adult football.
"We are also holding an informal trial day for the U18 team on Saturday, June 22 in the hope that players from Tytherington village and surrounding areas will come and showcase their talents!
Farr also said: "In terms of the facilities at the Hardwicke Playing Field, we are working closely with the Parish Council to explore opportunities for improvement.
"This starts with our annual Paint the Pavilion Weekend commencing on Friday, June 21 we encourage anyone with a vested interest in The Rocks and the Playing Fields in general to come along with a paint brush and enjoy a BBQ and cold drink in the sunshine".
