A NEW pride event is coming to Wotton next month as organisers hope to celebrate diversity and inclusion for everyone.

The town's first ever Pride event is due to take place on Saturday, June 15 including a parade.

Organiser Becki Britton-Griffiths of Wotton Pride said: "The day is set to be a corker with a parade, family disco, food, drink, and drag takeover at Under The Edge Arts.

"We can't wait to enjoy this jam packed day with you.

"We have been very lucky to have the backing of so many in the community and are partnering with different venues to ensure a variety or entertainment on the day.

"Our sponsors have made it possible for us to create what is set up to be a great day and we couldn't do any of it without our amazing supporters both within the LGBTQ+ community and our allies.

"We would like to thank Dursley Pride, Stroud Pride, LGBT Cheltenham and Pride In Gloucestershire for their continued support and guidance."
