A MAN from Cam has been banned from publishing 'derogatory assertions' about a woman he falsely accused of drug dealing.
The 12 month gagging order against Simon Pallister, aged 44, of Bramble Drive, Cam, was made by Cheltenham Magistrates on Tuesday, May 21.
Pallister pleaded guilty to charges of criminal damage and possession of cannabis.
He admitted that on October 23 last year in Dursley he caused between £250 to £300 worth of damage to a house window owned by Stroud District Council.
He also admitted that he had four grams of cannabis in his possession on the same date.
Magistrates ordered Pallister to pay £250 compensation for the damage and ordered forfeiture and destruction of the cannabis.
They made an order "prohibiting the publication of derogatory assertions against the character of the person named."
The woman was named in the order, which went on to say that the "false allegations (were) in relation to drug dealing."
