FIREFIGHTERS rushed to the scene of a blaze at a sub power station in Cam yesterday.
Crews extinguished the fire located off Box Road on Tuesday, June 4 at around 10.43am.
On social media, residents had temporarily been left without power in parts of Cam and Dursley, Stonehouse, Berkeley, Whitminster and Slimbridge.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 10.43am on Tuesday to a fire at a sub power station off Box Road in Cam.
“Two engines attended, one from Dursley and one from Stroud, and used a dry powder fire extinguisher to put out the fire.
“The stop message was received at 11.44am.”
