A KEY road will be closed for five nights next week for resurfacing.
A section of the A38 - from the Whitminster Roundabout to Fromebridge - will be closed from 7pm to 7am starting Monday, June 17 until Friday, June 21.
According to Gloucestershire County Council, the road recently failed a skid resistance test.
A council spokesperson said: “The planned start and end dates are currently 17th June until 21st June, however keep an eye on the web page detailed below or the signs on site for any short notice changes.
“Due to the type of engineering activities required with carriageway resurfacing, the road closure area may cover an area greater than the area being resurfaced.
“This is to allow activities, such as movement and placement of machinery and material.
“We appreciate that this is likely to cause disruption; however, we have tried to arrange it at a time that will minimise inconvenience whilst allowing us to get the work completed as quickly as possible.”
