TALENTED gymnasts in Thornbury are celebrating after competing in a regional competition.
Kestrel Acrobatics & Tumbling recently took part in a tumbling competition held in Gloucester.
The South West Club Level North tumbling competition saw gymnasts from across the region competing in different categories in the hope of winning a medal.
Proud head coach Lyn Price said: “At club level one, in the age 7-8 male category, Eric beat off fierce competition to come away with a gold medal and a score of 53.50, two whole marks higher than any of his rivals.
“Meanwhile, at club level 2 in the age 11-12 female category, Frankie performed wonderfully to secure a bronze medal and a very impressive score of 54.60.
“Anna also did a fantastic job in a large group of competitors at the club level 1, age 11-12 female category.
"She narrowly missed out on another bronze medal with a score of 54.50, only 0.1 away from making it onto the podium and 0.4 away from achieving gold!
“Well done also goes to Summer and Eleanor who worked really hard at their first tumbling competition.
“We are looking forward to seeing all those gymnasts progress further at their next competition.
Lyn added: “Best of luck for your upcoming display at Thornbury Leisure Centre on Saturday, June 29!”
The club trains at Thornbury Leisure Centre and the Methodist Church Hall.
The competition was held at Checkers Gym Club in Gloucester on Sunday, May 19.
