A WOMAN was hit in the face in a drive-by BB gun shooting involving a BMW on Saturday.

Police were called to the High Street in Tewkesbury at around 9.45pm on Saturday, June 15 with a report that a woman had been walking down the path when the rear passenger of a passing car rolled the window down and fired at her.

The victim stated that she felt a plastic pellet hit her near the nose causing a small red mark.

She described the man who aimed at her as being a white man in his early 20s who had light-coloured hair.

The car was described as being a navy-blue BMW estate.

The driver put their foot down and sped off towards Mythe Bridge after the incident happened.

A number of people were in the area at the time, and officers from Gloucestershire Constabulary are asking anyone with information, who saw the car or may also have been targeted to make contact.

They would also like to hear from anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage they feel may be relevant.
