NOSTALGIA this week comes again from former Gazette photographer David Ireland.
Two of the pictures show Rosalie Bailey, from Cam Green, Dursley, who was the Royal Hussars Regiment's Miss Cherry Picker, pictured during a visit to their barracks in Belfast, 1978.
The other picture shows a scene near Whitminster, when a petrol tanker over-turned and caught fire on the A38 Fromebridge, while the roundabout was under construction. in December 1969.
All of these images are taken from the Facebook group David Ireland's Gazette Pictures from the past and are reproduced here with David's kind permission.
