A MALE driver was found in possession of suspected Class A drugs and a police style baton after officers searched his vehicle.
On Saturday neighbourhood officers in Yate acted on information from a member of the public that a vehicle was involved in thefts in the area.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers stopped the vehicle and stop searched the vehicle and the male driver.
"The male was found in possession of suspected Class A drugs and a Police style ASP/Baton.
"The male was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs, drug driving, possession of an offensive weapon, driving whilst otherwise than accordance with a licence and driving without insurance.
"The vehicle was seized."
