A body has been found in the search for a missing man from Yate. 

Robin, aged 47, had not been seen since Tuesday, June 25. 

Avon and Somerset Police said officers have found a body in a wooded area off Goose Green Way.

A police spokesperson said: “Sadly, officers searching for missing man Robin from Yate have found a body in a wooded area off Goose Green Way.

“His next of kin have been informed and have our sympathy.

“Officers will now continue their enquiries and prepare a file in order for the Coroner to formally identify the deceased.”
