A MAN from the Yate area has been fined and banned from the roads after he was caught drink driving.
Matthew Hughes, aged 31, was caught over the alcohol limit while driving a black Saab in Roundways, Coalpit Heath on April 19.
He had consumed 101 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the limit is 35.
Hughes, of Beesmoor Road, Coalpit Heath, pleaded guilty at Bristol Magistrates Court on
June 10 where he was ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £114 surcharge - a total of £199.
He was banned from driving for 40 months.
