A NURSERY in Yate which previously 'required improvement' has transformed its Ofsted grade.

Partou Tippy Toes Day Nursery & Pre-School has received a new good rating after it was inspected on June 11.

The nursery in Firgrove Crescent was rated good in all four categories including education, behaviour, development and development.

It comes as the nursery was previously rated as requiring improvement after an inspection in July 2023.

In the new report, children were described as “happy” who “enjoy their time” at the nursery.

Meanwhile, staff were described as “kind” and “nurturing” who know the children well and have high expectations for their behaviour.

The nursery - which looks after 76 children up to ages of four - was also praised for creating a curriculum based on what they want children to learn.

According to the report, children benefit from lots of interesting and creative resources and activities that staff provide.

The inspector also said staff work with parents to learn about their families' cultures and to celebrate individuality at the nursery.

To improve, Ofsted told staff to continue to develop the implementation of the curriculum in the toddler room.

The inspector also said to build on the good partnerships with parents to involve them more in supporting their children's learning at home.

The report reads: “Since the last inspection, leaders and staff have worked hard to make the
necessary improvements to the provision.

“Leaders have worked with staff to create the curriculum based on what they want children to learn.”

Jade Jones, nursery manager, said: “We are excited by the positive path we are taking as a nursery and will continue to build on the many positive achievements highlighted in the Ofsted report.

“As a team, we’re absolutely committed to providing the best possible care for the children in a fun, engaging and learning environment designed to develop their skills and grow their self-confidence based on their individual needs.”

Samantha Rhodes, Partou managing director, said: “It is an impressive report which reflects so well on the hard work and dedication of Jade and the entire Partou Tippy Toes team.

“The inspector describes the partnerships between team members and families as strong and well-established.

“These relationships are further enhanced by regular chats and online updates informing families of their child’s progress.

“These strong relationships with families coupled with our child-led approach to care and development, makes the nursery a safe and inspiring place for young children which is what Partou is all about.”
