The Rose & Crown in Pucklechurch are holding their annual music festival weekender on August 2-4.

Expect lots of bands over the three days as well as a vast range of ciders, ales as well as cider slushies.

It is free entry for all, with a chance to purchase refreshments such as drinks and BBQ food all weekend. The festival is raising money for Wick Primary School and is just one of the many community events the pub runs every year.

Gates open at 5pm on Friday 2nd August.

It's a family event, with something for everyone, definitely not to be missed.

Jas Brace of the Rose and Crown says the pub has been setting up for Pucklefest all week. There are 13 local bands playing on trailers including Roxy, JPJ and Moon Rivers.

There is also children's entertainers at Pucklefest ensuring the whole family will be entertained.

The Rose & Crown has a long history and is one of three ale houses in the village of Pucklechurch.

It sits at the western end of the village, past the Moat House where the road narrows and becomes distinctly rural in character.

The traditional village pub is full of original features.

They are a relaxed and welcoming pub catering for villagers and visitors who come to enjoy their gardens in the summer and Sunday lunches all year round.

Last year Pucklefest raised money for Pucklechurch School and next year they will be raising money for a rugby based charity but this year it is Wick Primary School which will be receiving a donation from the pub.

Wick Primary School is a Church of England primary school located in the village of Wick situated between Bristol and Bath.

The school's website says: "We aim to prepare our pupils, ensuring they are equipped with the full range of skills that allows them to be lifelong learners ready for the next steps in their education and as well as preparing them for the wider world.

"We will help our children to be curious, ask probing questions and be brave in finding solutions."
