A WOMAN is due to appear in court accused of causing the deaths of two people by dangerous driving two years ago.

Liberty Mitchell, aged 19, of Chipping Norton, is due to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on Friday, August 9.

The charges relate to a crash near Aldsworth which took place on the B4425 at Riversmeet North on Friday, December 2, 2022 where two people died and three others were seriously injured. 

Mitchell has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and three counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Man charged after separate fatal crash in 2023 

Meanwhile, a man is due to appear at court later this week in connection with a fatal collision which took place on Old Birdlip Hill, Witcombe, in 2023.

Artur Mieszczak, aged 41, of Old Town, Swindon, has been charged with causing death by due care while over the alcohol limit.

The charges relate to a collision which took place on Thursday, July 6 2023 where a man died and a woman was seriously injured.

He also faces charges for causing death by driving a vehicle while uninsured and causing death by driving a vehicle while unlicensed.

Mieszczak is also due to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on Friday, August 9.
