CHILDREN are the focus of Yate’s summer events programme next week with two days of activities as the fun keeps rolling at the town’s chopping centre.

On Tuesday, August 20, children can get involved with the Pokémon Themed Crafts event and on Thursday, August 22, it’s the children’s beach party.

Andrew Lowrey, Yate shopping centre manager said: “There’s been three weeks of action-packed fun to date with the events and the Beach proving as popular as ever.

"This is our penultimate week of activities and it is now only a matter of days until the B=beach will be packed away for the winter months so now is the time to take the children down to make the most of the fun and games whilst the summer sun shines.

“For our final week we have a very special event when everyone can become a movie star for once in their life so watch this space!”

Both events are free from 11am to 3pm and take place by the beach in the Central Square.

A full calendar of the programme and details of all events is available on the Centre’s website at www.yateshoppingcentre.co.uk
