A YATE woman must pay more than £1,000 for three driving offences including failing to stop at a traffic light.

Zoe Taylor, aged 49, of Chatcombe, Yate, was charged with driving a dangerous vehicle because it had three defective tyres.

She was also charged with having no insurance and failing to stop at a red light.

She was caught in Bristol Road, Frampton Cotterell on November 5 last year.

The case was heard at Bath Magistrates Courts on July 23.

Taylor admitted the first two charges but denied the traffic light offence however this was proved in her absence.

For the tyre offence, was fined £266 and must also pay a £346 surcharge plus £110 costs..

The insurance offence landed her with a £400 fine plus eight penalty points and she was fined £200 for skipping the red light meaning she must pay a total of £1,322.
