REVEREND DR Juliet Jensen was installed as the new Rector of The Ewelme Benefice at a licensing service in St James The Great Dursley on Sunday, September 1.

Revd Juliet has now become the Rector of St James, Dursley, St Giles, Uley, St Bartholomew's, Nympsfield and The Church of the Holy Cross, Owlpen.

She was welcomed by Bishop Robert of Tewkesbury, Archdeacon Hilary Dawson and Mrs Jane Jenner-Fust, the patron's representative who read the Letters Patent from the Lord Chancellor and presented Revd Juliet to the Bishop to be licensed.

40 members of Juliet's previous congregations from St James & All Saints, Gloucester came to support her and there were representatives from all of the local churches and faith groups, Dursley Town Council, Uley Parish council, Rednock School, Uley Primary School and Dursley Academy, plus many local groups, clubs and societies.

A joyful service was enjoyed by members of all the congregations from the Benefice and Juliet was sent out into the community as the Benefice Choir and congregation sang "You shall go out with joy".

The Ewelme Benefice wish every blessing on Revd Juliet as she begins her new ministry in our communities.
