A MAN has pleaded guilty to causing the death of a 16-year-old in South Gloucestershire.

Harry Charlton, aged 29, admitted causing the death of Daniel Davies by careless driving while over the prescribed limit of drugs.

Charlton’s Ford Fiesta collided with Daniel’s moped on the A4174 Wraxall Road roundabout in Warmley on April 17, 2022 and the teenager died at the scene.

Charlton, of Kingswood, South Gloucestershire, pleaded guilty at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 6.

He will be sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on Monday, October 21.

A spokesperson from Avon and Somerset Police say Daniel’s family continue to be supported by a specially-trained officer.

“Our thoughts are with them following this development”, the spokesperson added.
