A NEW vibrant open-air theatre event is due to take place at a nature reserve near Dursley.
The Three Inch Fools theatre group are due to perform on the grass at Tinkley Gate - formerly Thistledown Farm - in Nympsfield on Tuesday, September 17.
Actors will perform Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors - which tells the tale of long-lost twins, hysterical misunderstandings and endless mishaps.
With musical instruments in hand, the group will present a joyous take on this classic rib-tickler.
The event - which is near Woodchester Park - has been organised by the Cotswolds Countryside Team from the National Trust.
Visitor experience manager Helen Selkirk said: “We are delighted to welcome outdoor theatre as part of our programming and events at Tinkley Gate.
“This is the first event like this we’ve undertaken.
“We couldn’t think of a more perfect site, with easy access to the grass outside and excellent facilities for theatre-goers to sample our excellent food and drink offering here at the café.”
Organisers say as it is an open-air performance, visitors are encouraged to bring suitable clothing and be ready for all weathers.
Additionally, it’s recommended that attendees also bring their own chairs, cushions, and blankets to sit on the grass.
The performance starts at 7pm, with the site open from 6pm.
Tickets cost £19.60 for adults and £11.02 for children.
