AMERICAN ice and roller skating star Gloria Nord in the 1950s features in the nostalgia section this week.
These photographs were all taken with permission from the Facebook group David Ireland's Gazette pictures from the past.
Gloria Nord dropped into the Hunters Hall, at Kingscote, the day after appearing in a Royal Variety performance (Choo Chin Chow on Ice) in London, in the 50's.
Included in the picture, are the Hunters Hall licensee's Mr & Mrs Holland.
Also pictured is the late Queen Elizabeth II leaving the Royal Enclosure at Badminton in 1973.
David has hundreds of photographs on the Facebook group from his days as a photographer at the Gazette.
