THIEVES burgled a village home near Dursley by smashing a backdoor using a piece of rock, police say.
The property in Front Street, Nympsfield was ransacked with damage caused to some of the walls, according to a police alert.
Thieves also stole a jewellery box, a safe and a stamp collection.
During the incident, furniture was also broken.
Officers say it is believed the incident happened between Monday, September 16 and Tuesday, September 17.
