THE ORGANISERS of a popular local music and comedy festival have announced the initial line-up for their 2025 shows as they reveal that events will move location.

Good Times took place in May this year at Yate Town Football Club and featured McFly, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Scouting for Girls.

The team say they are being even more ambitious for next year's shows which will take place at The Ridings in Chipping Sodbury.

Organiser James Murden exclusively told The Gazette: "We had an amazing week of 2024 shows and we're beyond excited for what's to come next year.

"Russell Howard is one of my favourite comedians and I am thrilled that he's agreed to be our comedy headliner at Good Times, that show is going to sell fast!"

The team are also excited to welcome Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues orchestra back to the festival with a unique evening of live music.

Production designer Tom Campbell said: "Jools put on an incredible show and the event was so popular with local audiences, we had to bring him back next year with even more guest vocalists"

James Murden added: "This is just the tip of the iceberg, we have another four shows to announce next month and we're talking to some incredibly talented performers, I can't wait to share more on our social media channels very soon!"

The move away from Yate was taken following careful consultation with local residents and a warm welcome from Chipping Sodbury's town trust.

Tom Campbell said: "We want to say a huge thank you to the team at Yate Town F.C for being such amazing hosts, but, as more houses pop up around the site and with limited access via Lodge Road, the time is right for us to move to a new home."
