CINEWORLD has released a statement after it closed its Yate branch on Sunday.
The cinema chain recently announced plans to shut five cinemas across the UK including the one in Yate as part of major restructuring plans.
The Yate unit - which opened in the town in 2016 but has suffered declining visitor numbers - closed on Sunday.
The closure has previously been described as a 'sad day for the town' with urgent efforts ongoing to find a replacement.
A statement read: "To all of our customers in Yate, thank you for joining us over the years to share the magic of the big screen experience.
"We’re grateful for all of the love and support you have shown us in our time, and hope to see you at one of our nearby Cineworld cinemas soon.
"Thank you for being a part of our journey."
