THE DURSLEY Colts celebrated a big home win and a new match shirt, as all three senior male teams beat North Bristol this weekend.
The Colts team have made a good start to the season with more than 30 players now in the squad.
Colts rugby marks a transition from youth to senior and brings together players from the U17s and U18s age groups.
This year they have new shirts and a new main sponsor.
The main sponsor is local family run business West Country Electrical Services and project engineer Ed Fuller came to watch and meet the players.
Playing on a Sunday, the team had great support drawing a big crowd to take the win over a very good North Bristol side, with the match running close throughout.
Excellent play across the team and a late tries for Dursley making the difference.
The two men’s senior teams played on Saturday to a packed touch line in the sunshine.
Both came away with big wins with 12 different players on the score sheet across both matches (six in each).
Player of the match awards went to two players who both scored and kicked to help secure impressive victories. For the 1sts Charlie Davison and 2nds Mike Nash.

Senior Men’s Rugby Chair Josh Bailey said: “What a weekend for Dursley rugby.
“It’s not often we have a triple-header and to win all three games shows how much strength in depth we have.
“It was a pleasure to watch the Colts play on Sunday, coming out top in a very tough game.
“We have a brilliant youth set up and it’s great to see so many talented players coming through.”
