AN appeal has been launched after a purse and a mobile phone were stolen during a burglary in Yate.

According to police, the home in Dowsell Way was burgled on Tuesday October, 8.

It is believed the burglar smashed glass in the back door to gain entry.

However, an exact time has not been given by police. 

A police spokesperson said: “If you have any information about this incident, especially CCTV images, please call us on 101, giving reference number 5224265630 and ask that the call is tagged as neighbourhood watch.
