THE ORGANISERS organisers of a local music and comedy festival in Chipping Sodbury have announced their next headline act as double Brit award winner Will Young.

He shot to fame as winner of Pop Idol in 2002 and went on to achieve four number one albums and an incredible 11 UK Top 10 singles over the past two decades.

James Murden, event organiser, said: "Will is an incredibly talented live performer, his musicianship is outstanding and his live band are world class, we can't wait to welcome him to Chipping Sodbury!"

Tom Campbell, event producer said: "Will is bringing a very special female guest with him to Good Times and we'll reveal her name in the coming weeks!"

Will Young: “I’m remembering my roots of pop and completely welcoming it.

"It’s time to celebrate and have fun.”

Will's show takes place on Sunday, May 25 and he joins the previously announced line-up of Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra (Wednesday 21st May) and comedy stars Russell Howard, Henning Wehn and Cerys Nelmes (Monday 26th May).
