A FAMILY business in Cam that makes unique drinks from bubble-topped margaritas to sparkling shot trays is in the running for another award.
Bar hire company The Bar Bros has been shortlisted as part of The Wedding Industry Awards 2025 in the South West.
Parents-of-two John and Rebecca Little, run the business, who say they are ‘elated’ to be nominated.
The Bar Bros was originally founded in 2018 after teaming up with The Country Marquee Company, in Charfield.
This year, the team has toured different venues across the area - including Berkeley Show and Tetbury music festival Tetfest.
The duo says they have launched a venture with the Boho Collectively team at Buckovers in Thornbury and have unveiled wedding collaborations with the Badminton Estate.
The company previously won last year’s award, but this year are up against Gloucester-based bar business The Drunken Mare.
“It feels fantastic to be considered a regional finalist again,” Rebecca said.
“Winning last year sent us on a real high, it’s great to be recognised for our hard work and for the incredible service we deliver.
“We enter the awards ourselves rather than be nominated, then the only people who can vote for us to win are actual clients we have completed events for.
“The awards aren’t a ‘one click wonder’ type of award system.
“It’s a toughie and only recognises the best, so we are elated to be nominated!”
She added: “The best bits for me are the design work when it comes to a wedding day or event, when your clients really care and you get to go to town on making their bar spectacular.
“From designing a margarita menu to wow people, making my own rhubarb syrups for specialty cocktails, surprising guests with sparkling shot trays and seeing their bar come to life.
“Running a small business and having a family is tough, I won't hide that.
“There are highs and lows to every aspect of what we do, season exhaustion is a real thing!
“We’ve been working on upskilling our team whilst also expanding our core bar leaders too. 2025 is set to be a record-breaker again.
“Each year we expand, grow, gain new clients, colleagues and individuals who know us, trust us and work with us to create pure magic!”
