THE organisers behind one of Thornbury’s most popular events has announced a new charity partner.
Thornbury Christmas Lights Association has named Age UK South Gloucestershire as the chosen beneficiary for this year’s festive event.
The town’s Christmas light switch-on is set to take place on Saturday November 16 with entertainment, stalls, and a visit from Santa.
The charity provides crucial services for older people across the region, offering support, advice, and social activities to combat isolation.
TCLA chairperson Sally Higgins said: “We are excited and honoured to light up our streets for such a great cause.
“This event not only marks the start of the Christmas season, but also highlights the importance of local support, especially for the older members of our community.”
