A MAN from the Thornbury area has been sentenced after possessing offensive weapons.
Benjamin Johnson, aged 37, pleaded guilty to having a metal pole in his possession in a public place in Station Road, Yate on February 17.
Johnson, of Walnut Field, Tytherington, also admitted to having a knuckle duster in his possession at his home on the same day.
He appeared at Bristol Magistrates Court on October 7, where he was ordered to pay a £114 surcharge plus £85 in costs - a total of £199.
Johnson was also ordered to complete 180 hours of unpaid work within 12 months.
