A CHIPPING SODBURY girl has been crowned a national champion.
Beatrice Wolfenden was crowned the World Irish Dance Association Under 9 British Champion and dreams of being in the cast of Riverdance and performing at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin.
She has been Irish Dancing since she was five years old and trains four nights a week with Stuart Irish Dance.
She very quickly moved up the competition levels and dances at the highest level possible - all of this was achieved within 18 months of competing.
Beatrice is currently ranked fourth in the world.
She also attends extra Irish Dance Workshops and has been selected to train with the cast of Riverdance for the last two years, and has already been asked to return to Ireland to train with them again next year.
It is her greatest ambition to one day be in the cast of Riverdance and perform on stage at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin.
Beatrice has qualified for the World Championships 2025, which are due to be held in Belgium
